The radiographer will review imaging of the physically traumatized patient. Providing quality radiographs which lead to improved clinical management And better patient outcomes. An overview of trauma, patterns of injury, trauma severity, patient dispositions, trauma radiographic protocols, appropriate modalities, radiographic techniques and contrast allergic reactions are emphasized. Radiographic evaluation of commonly encountered traumatic injuries are illustrated by 400 radiographic images. Imaging modalities include MRI, CT, Nuclear Medicine and Ultrasound.
